Lead Backend Engineer at satispay.

You will join the Consumer Growth team to manage the systems that support the entire user lifecycle, from initial signup to long-term engagement. This is a senior individual contributor position focused on driving technical strategy and system quality for our financial platform.

What you'll do

- Design, build, and maintain services for payment processing, identity verification, and loyalty features.
- Lead technical analysis and documentation for projects involving multiple teams.
- Improve engineering standards by implementing rigorous testing and safe deployment practices.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on event-driven architecture and operational workflows.
- Manage the full software development lifecycle, including API design, data modeling, and production on-call responsibilities.

Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in backend software engineering.




- Professional expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
- Proven background working with microservices in cloud-based, high-traffic environments.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and managing external dependencies like banking protocols.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Fluency in English.

Nice to have
- Prior experience working specifically within AWS infrastructure.

Skills & tools
- Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL.
- AWS services including EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, Kinesis, and ElasticSearch.
