ppReport to Jacket Engineering Coordinator, the Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment used in oil and gas facilities. This includes ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with regulatory and company standards across all project phases from design and construction to commissioning and operations, candidate responsibilities. /pulliReview and consent to the design electrical power distribution systems (LV, MV, HV) for oil and gas installations. /liliReview the developed single – line diagrams (SLDs), load lists, cable schedules, grounding, and lighting layouts. /liliReview and approve the selected electrical equipment including transformers, switchgear, MCCs, UPS, batteries, and motors. /liliPerform electrical system studies (load flow, short circuit, arc flash, protection coordination). /liliEnsure compliance with industry standards (IEC, NEC, IEEE, API, NEMA, ATEX). /li /ulh3Project Execution Procurement: /h3ulliReview and approve vendor documents and technical specifications. /liliPrepare Material Requisitions (MRs), Technical Bid Evaluations (TBEs), and equipment datasheets. /liliInterface with other engineering disciplines, procurement, and construction teams to ensure design integration. /liliSupervise installation of electrical systems and ensure compliance with approved designs and standards.
/liliConduct inspection, testing, and pre – commissioning of electrical equipment. /liliParticipate in FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests) and SATs (Site Acceptance Tests). /liliTroubleshoot issues during installation and commissioning phases. /li /ulh3Operations Maintenance: /h3ulliSupport operations teams in troubleshooting and maintaining electrical systems. /liliReview condition monitoring data (e.g., IR thermography, insulation resistance tests). /liliParticipate in root cause analysis for electrical failures. /liliEnsure asset integrity and optimize electrical system performance over the asset lifecycle. /liliIn-depth knowledge of electrical design for oil gas environments (onshore/offshore). /liliFamiliarity with hazardous area classification and equipment selection. /liliExperience with electrical system modelling software (ETAP, SKM, DigSILENT). /liliUnderstanding of electrical protection systems, earthing, lighting, and lightning protection. /liliStrong analytical, coordination, and communication skills. /li /ulh3Minimum Qualifications: /h3ulliBachelor’s Degree from an accredited university. /liliWork experience of five (5) years in the sought discipline after earning the university degree. /liliExcellent spoken and written English including proven ability to write reports. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
