Real-Time Embedded Software Engineer – Aerospace

Within its Embedded Systems Business Unit, TXT e-Tech is seeking an Avionics Software Engineer to support the software certification activities of a safety-critical embedded applications for aerospace applications, in compliance with DO-178C requirements. The selected candidate will work alongside a team of experts on the development, verification, and documentation of software certification artifacts for embedded systems.Key Responsibilities Contribute to the development and verification of safety-critical embedded software for aerospace applications.
Support the preparation of DO-178C certification documentation (Software Development Plans, Software Verification Plans, Software Requirements, and Traceability Matrices).
Define strategies for the definition of software requirements (both functional and detailed low-level requirements) ensuring adherence to applicable standards.
Support requirements analysis and coverage assessment for software certification.
Lead the Development and execution of component and integration tests for embedded software.
Define software verification goals and methods through static and dynamic analysis.
Review and assess the impact of existing certification artifacts to identify reuse opportunities. RequirementsMandatory Technical Skills Basic knowledge of software development for real-time embedded systems.
Familiarity with embedded software architectures and low-level firmware.
Proficiency in at least one structured programming language (preferably C, C++, or Python).
Proven experience with at least one of the following architectures: Intel® Tiger Lake x86/64-bit processor, NXP Layerscape, Xilinx Zynq, Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC).
Familiarity with DO-178C software certification principles.
Preferred Technical Skills
Experience with static analysis tools, unit testing frameworks, or debugging on embedded platforms.
Basic knowledge of Intel® Boot Guard, Intel® Firmware Support Package (FSP), the Multiboot2 standard, and Trusted Platform Module (TPM).
Familiarity with cryptography and security concepts for embedded systems.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Annual gross salary ranging from €35,000 to €39,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
The final employment level will be determined during the selection process based on the candidate's profile and in accordance with the Italian Metalworkers' Collective Labor Agreement (CCNL Metalmeccanico).
