MLOps & Platform Engineer

TXT Group , a company within the TXT Group , is seeking an MLOps & Platform Engineer to join its Industrial Business Unit.
The ideal candidate will contribute to the development and operation of the company’s application and AI platform, supporting secure, reliable and scalable environments for enterprise applications and AI/ML workloads.
The role will work closely with software developers, AI engineers and senior platform team members to automate deployments, improve operational processes and maintain production environments.
At least 3 years of relevant experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering or MLOps. Candidates should have practical experience with containerised applications, CI/CD pipelines and cloud or virtualised infrastructure.An excellent knowledge of Italian, preferably at C1 or C2 level (or equivalent), in both written and spoken forms, is essential.
Main responsibilities:
- Deploy and maintain containerised applications and platform services using Docker and Docker Compose, with HashiCorp Nomad as the primary orchestration platform;
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git and GitOps workflows, automating infrastructure provisioning;
- Deploy and operate infrastructure for AI systems, LLM and embedding model serving, vector databases, application databases and caching;
- Support the versioning and deployment of models, prompts and configurations;
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, tracing and alerting with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, OpenTelemetry and Alertmanager;
- Ensure scalability, high availability and operational continuity of AI services;
- Operate relational databases (PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server) and Redis in production, covering provisioning, backup and scaling;
- Manage secrets, API keys, service accounts, access control and environment isolation for AI services;
- Implement TLS/SSL certificates, reverse proxies and ingress controllers (Nginx, Traefik)
and identity integrations (Keycloak, OAuth2/OpenID Connect), applying solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS);
- Support offline evaluation and testing activities by providing the necessary infrastructure and data.
Nice to Have :
- Direct experience with HashiCorp Nomad and the broader HashiCorp ecosystem (Consul, Vault);
- Hands-on experience with AI/MLOps tooling: MLflow, Weights & Biases, model registries and model-serving frameworks applied to GPU-based inference workloads;
- Experience deploying and operating vector databases, embedding models and RAG pipelines in production;
- Familiarity with Python and REST APIs for backend services;
- Familiarity with LLMOps practices: prompt/experiment tracking, inference cost monitoring and model version management.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a similar field. The perfect candidate has problem-solving mindset, curiosity and willingness to learn, autonomy balanced with a proactive attitude, strong sense of ownership, good technical-documentation skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across software, data and AI engineering teams.
