Role Description This full-time, remote Freelance Mergers and Acquisitions Specialist role focuses on supporting clients through the entire M&A; lifecycle. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying potential acquisition or divestiture targets, conducting market and financial research, and preparing valuation analyses and deal models.
The specialist will lead or support due diligence processes, coordinate information requests, and review financial, legal, and operational documentation. The role involves drafting presentations and reports for clients, contributing to negotiation strategies, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders (such as legal, tax, and corporate finance advisors) to facilitate smooth transaction execution.
The specialist is expected to manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintain clear communication with clients, and adhere to deadlines and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Strong Analytical Skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide clear, actionable insights.
- Solid Finance and Investments knowledge, including valuation methods, capital structures, and transaction modeling.
- Experience in Due Diligence and Accounting, with a track record of reviewing financial statements and identifying risks.
- Background in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, or investment banking, preferably with cross-border exposure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are an asset.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple client engagements, and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in en_US; additional languages relevant to EU, MENA, or Southeast Asia are advantageous.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and cultural awareness when working with international clients and partners.
