Junior Project Controller

For our own projects, we are looking for a Junior Project Controller.
Location: Milan, Italy (Office-based)
Duration: 6 months, renewable for an additional 6 months
Key Responsibilities
- Issue work orders following supplier selection processes and in accordance with company procedures.
- Review and align commercial proposals, verify contractual compliance, and support the evaluation of the best commercial offer.
- Prepare periodic cost reports, budget variance analyses, and financial progress reports using company accounting systems and SAP.
- Record contractor costs for goods and services within company systems in coordination with technical departments.
- Collect personnel timesheets, register working hours in SAP, and prepare monthly reporting.
- Monitor the physical and financial progress of project activities, update cost information, and report any deviations from the budget.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate, and consistent project control activities.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Project Control, Cost Control, or a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience preparing cost reports, monitoring budgets, and tracking project financial performance.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple internal departments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of SAP.
- Previous experience with energy companies is considered an advantage.
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
