We are looking for a Project Surveyor to join our team in Viareggio, Italy . We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Project Surveyor to support our New Build and Refit Project Management division.
Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the Project Surveyor plays a key role in overseeing the construction and refit of superyachts, with a focus on inspecting and assessing build quality, compliance, and workmanship throughout all project stages. Conduct regular on-site inspections of new build and refit projects to verify construction quality, materials, and technical compliance. Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and construction schedules.
Liaise with shipyard personnel, subcontractors,
and classification society representatives on technical and quality matters. Document inspections and produce detailed technical reports for the Project Manager. Support quality assurance processes and contribute to maintaining the highest standards of construction.
Monitor and verify progress in line with project milestones and technical expectations. Attend factory acceptance tests, sea trials, and commissioning activities as required. Solid experience as a marine surveyor, construction inspector, or quality control engineer in the superyacht or shipbuilding industry.
Technical degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related discipline preferred. In-depth understanding of shipyard processes, classification requirements, and marine construction standards. Strong technical documentation and reporting skills.
Comfortable working on-site and traveling internationally. Team player with strong communication skills and the ability to work under the direction of the Project Manager.
