Head of Product Development - Medical Devices

Chaberton Professionals , the middle management recruitment division of Chaberton Partners, is currently looking for a Head of Product Development for a leading company operating in the medical devices and digital health sector. Reporting directly to the executive management, the candidate will be responsible for autonomously driving the strategic and technical development of the electromedical and telemedicine product portfolio.

Responsabilities:

- Manage the HW/FW/Mech design team
- Supervise the product development projects, providing support and directions to the engineers reporting to the role.
- Coordinate with Program Management function to plan the design activities, providing the necessary information to track the team tasks and allocation.
- Coordinate with the technical office function to document the design artifacts (design deliverables, design inputs) to be included into the technical documentation file for Notified Body and FDA inspection.
- Supervise and ensure the design control activities and checkpoints are duly performed and documented.
- Coordinate with the V&V; function to develop test protocols and plans for new design or design changes.




- Coordinate with Purchasing department for key components procurement and shortage management
- Coordinate with Manufacturing department for design transfer and development, optimization and maintenance of product manufacturing lines, including incoming inspection controls, line and final device testing and assembly/manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Develop, along with the dev team, new product HW architectures and design, delivering BOM, schematics, PCB assembly files, HW/FW/Mechanical specifications, EMC and environmental evaluations

Educational & professional profile:

- Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering (Biomedical preferred).
- 3+ to 5+ years of experience, core proficiency in schematic capture, PCB layout tools, and lab testing, medical devices background preferred.
- Familiarity with IEC 60601 technical standards (safety and essential performance of medical electrical equipment and systems).

Knowledge & Skills:

- CAD Software: Altium Designer preferred.
- Technical knowledge: analog and digital high-speed design, thermal analysis, Design for Manufacturability.

Location : Trento (1 giorno) Salary range : RAL 70k/100k+company car+MBO+relocation package
