Leonardo is one of the strategic industrial partners - together with British BAE Systems and Japanese Mitsubishi Heavy Industries - in the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP), aimed at the development and production of a next-generation air system, defined as a 'system of systems'.
Used for multi-domain defence operations, the system is characterised by a 'core platform' connected with other piloted and uncrewed peripheral adjunct systems. The programme, one of the most challenging and futuristic in the Aerospace and Defence industry, will lead the technological revolution that will shape the sector over the next fifty years. It is aimed at strengthening the technological and industrial sovereignty of the involved countries, because it focuses on identifying and making available innovative enabling technologies that will ensure the generational leap, producing positive returns, as well as economic and social progress for the partners' countries, benefitting the new generations.
The people who will work on this programme will have the opportunity to embark on a professional growth path in an international and technologically advanced environment. At the time the role is required, does the role need to be physically in UK.
Accountabilities include: Management and administration of bids and contracts with a wide customer base. Lead in the provision of Commercial elements for the Life Cycle Management and for Bid Approval process. Support line managers, by taking responsibility for the preparation of quotations and detailed Agreements including but not limited to Purchase Orders, Enabling Agreements, Technical Assistance Agreements, Service Level Agreements.
It is recommended to include a list of specific and detailed technical knowledge and competencies - including information technology skills and soft skills, if and when necessary.
Skills and Experience Previous experience in a commercial, contracts role Contract analysis/management skills such as ability to identify potential risks in contract terms Support to contract acquisition/bid processes Analytical and critical thinking Organisational and time-management skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Desirable Experience in contract renewals and amendments Support to negotiation planning and strategies Customer and stakeholder relationship management skills Understanding of resource & budget management Governance experience What are we offer?
