CSA Engineer – Data Centre
About the opportunity
PeoItaly , an employment agency authorised by the Italian Ministry of Labour, is recruitment on behalf of a international general contractor delivering large-scale Data Centre and mission-critical projects across Europe.
We are recruiting two CSA Engineers to join the client's engineering and construction team on a major Data Centre development in the Milan area.
The role sits at the intersection of design coordination and site delivery. The successful candidates will support the delivery of Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) packages, ensuring that technical information is coordinated, buildable and properly integrated with Mechanical and Electrical systems.
Each CSA Engineer will follow assigned work packages through detailed design, technical submissions, construction, inspections, completion, as-built documentation and final handover.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate the technical delivery of assigned Civil, Structural and Architectural work packages.
- Review drawings, specifications, technical submittals, RFIs and other construction documentation.
- Verify that design information is complete, coordinated and suitable for construction.
- Coordinate designers, site supervisors, specialist subcontractors and construction teams.
- Identify and help resolve interfaces between CSA packages and Mechanical and Electrical systems.
- Support the resolution of design queries, site constraints, clashes and multidisciplinary coordination issues.
- Monitor construction progress, workmanship and compliance with approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
- Support the preparation and review of method statements and risk assessments relevant to assigned CSA works.
- Coordinate technical inspections with QA/QC, EHS and site-delivery teams.
- Support the management and closure of non-conformities, technical comments, punch-list items and outstanding actions.
- Maintain accurate technical registers, as-built information and completion documentation.
- Monitor and report design changes, variations, programme risks and construction constraints affecting assigned packages.
- Support the completion and handover of CSA works and completed project areas.
- Participate in technical, coordination and progress meetings with project stakeholders.
Candidate profile We are interested in candidates with:
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline.
- Previous experience delivering CSA packages on complex construction or engineering projects.
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and construction documentation.
- Experience reviewing technical submittals, RFIs and design information.
- A practical understanding of multidisciplinary coordination and CSA–MEP interfaces.
- Knowledge of construction QA/QC, inspection and HSE processes.
- Familiarity with method statements, non-conformities, punch lists and completion documentation.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with designers, contractors and site teams.
- Professional working proficiency in Italian is required, as the role involves regular coordination with local site teams, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
- Availability to work on-site in the Milan area.
Previous experience in Data Centres, mission-critical facilities or similarly complex technical environments would be an advantage.
