Technical Service Representative – Aluminium & Coatings
A leading company in the aluminium manufacturing and processing sector is seeking an experienced Technical Service Representative to support customer technical requirements, product development, quality improvement, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, negotiation, and ongoing management of customer technical specifications.
- Support product development, qualification, validation, and continuous improvement, including metallurgical characteristics, coating systems, and surface properties.
- Act as the primary technical contact for customers regarding product performance, quality, and technical requirements.
- Lead technical projects and product improvement initiatives, translating market trends, customer feedback, and commercial opportunities into innovative solutions.
- Ensure consistent product performance across different metal supply sources.
- Coordinate the qualification and monitoring of coating systems, paint suppliers, and chemical products, ensuring regulatory compliance, sustainability, and supply continuity.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Quality, R&D;, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to understand and meet customer expectations.
- Lead quality issue resolution, including customer complaints, Root Cause Analysis, 8D investigations, and implementation of sustainable corrective actions.
- Support Master Data Management and related technical and administrative activities for customers and products.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through technical innovation and strategic customer engagement.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related technical/scientific discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, preferably involving continuous production processes.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing technical, product development, quality, or process engineering role.
- Strong knowledge of coil coating and coating technologies, including painting processes, surface treatments, and coating systems.
- In-depth understanding of aluminium metallurgy and related manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with quality management methodologies, including Root Cause Analysis and 8D.
- Native-level Italian and excellent English communication skills.
- Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and customer-orientation skills.
Compensation
€47,000–€52,000 gross annual salary + premio
CCNL Metalmeccanico – Level B2/B3
