Job Summary:

SECTION 1 SPECIAL SELECTION FACTOR(S)-THE FOLLOWING IS REQUIRED- CURRENT Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation and Reentry Employees:

Two years of experience as a Correctional Officer II in the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation and Reentry

Or, must have a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Public Administration, Business Administration, Behavioral Health or Sociology.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

PERFORMANCE EVALUATION – Must receive a rating of meets expectations or better.

SUSPENSION – Suspension during one year prior to announcement, ineligible for one promotional cycle.

VOLUNTARY DEMOTIONS – Employees accepting a voluntary demotion shall be required to remain in the classification/position requested for a period of at least two years before being considered for appointment to any
