ppJob Description: OCS Specialist, Italy – Location: Rome.
Reports to: Country Manager – Italy.
The OCS Specialist is responsible for the clinical aspects of the Organ Care System (OCS Lung/Liver/Heart) and supports the use of the OCS in Italy and other countries as needed.
/ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliFollow hands?on training and OCS Certification in all relevant organ platforms, and apply OCS knowledge during organ retrieval, preservation, transport and assessment according to TransMedics protocols.
/liliWork full?time on a variable on?call schedule to ensure coverage of cases that may occur at any time, including nights, weekends and holidays (to the extent allowed by law).
/liliTravel as required to clinical sites within the EU transplant network and possibly other geographies to support OCS cases.
/liliCommunicate regularly with the TransMedics EU Clinical Programs and Training Lead to relay real?time updates and to raise issues.
/liliProvide clinical expertise to the sales team at national and regional events.
/liliPrepare and present internal case reviews following the use of OCS in collaboration with senior colleagues.
/liliManage equipment stored at the logistics hub in Rome (weekly preventative maintenance, inventory counts and testing).
/liliSupport site initiation and refresher training, and provide clinical guidance to users.
/liliCollaborate with cross?functional TransMedics departments to drive adoption of the OCS technology in Italy (and beyond).
/liliAssist with training the sales team about OCS functionality.
/liliConduct literature analysis and present findings to management.
/liliPerform market and competitive analysis.
/liliAttend national and international congresses, as required.
/liliPerform other TransMedics tasks and duties as required.
/li /ulh3Qualifications /h3ulliFluent in written and spoken Italian and English.
/liliLive close to one of the hubs.
/liliHold a degree in Techniques of Cardiocirculatory Pathophysiology and Vascular Perfusion (or equivalent) plus at least 3years of relevant clinical experience, OR a BSN with experience in CVICU, CVOR, CATH LAB, ED, or transplant (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
/liliHighly flexible and willing to support sites on nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.
/liliDetail oriented with strong organizational skills.
/liliOutstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to establish and maintain long?term trusted relationships internally and externally.
/liliExcellent customer?facing and customer?engagement skills.
/liliStrong work ethic and accountability for personal organizational results.
/liliProven track record of remaining calm and professional in a fast?paced, high?pressure environment.
/liliAbility to adjust to changing priorities.
/liliComputer literacy with Microsoft Office and Concur expense management.
