Join Vestas Grid Solutions in MED to support wind project development by shaping grid connection strategies and technical design.
You will collaborate with R&D;, consultants, utilities, and the Project Development team to identify grid capacity, prepare connection applications, and supervise preliminary electrical design work.
This role blends technical analysis with cross-functional coordination across Italy, Spain, and broader MED markets.
You'll help drive cost-efficient, compliant grid solutions that enable project delivery and sustainable energy growth.
hybrid position in Rome up to 15% travel per year multinational, diverse team professional and personal development opportunities collaborative culture in Grid Solutions and Vestas Development opportunity to influence grid integration of wind projects Scouting grid connection procedures and engaging with System Operators in MED (Italy & Spain) Collecting grid atlas data and performing market analysis for MED Developing new grid-support tools with R&D; and standardization efforts Leading technical meetings with consultants, contractors, grid operators, utilities,



and customers Supporting Projects Development in grid capacity identification and preliminary electrical design management Identifying grid capacity availability and reviewing related network constraints Assessing grid capacity tenders and proposing technical solutions (e Bo P, etc.) Coordinating preparation of preliminary electrical designs (substations, collection systems, equipment sizing) and interfacing with electrical/SCADA/civil Preparing and reviewing single line diagrams, layouts, and protection systems Negotiating Shared Infrastructure Agreements and ensuring compliance with Grid Connection Performance Requirements Coordinating electrical simulation studies to define plant performance per site conditions MSc or BSc in Electrical Engineering/Power Systems ?3 years in a similar role with RES project developers or TERNA grid connection team Knowledge of grid connection applications and RES requirements Knowledge of HV and MV equipment Proficiency in Italian and English (written and spoken) Ability to work autonomously within an international team Strong teamwork and communication skills Ability to reallocate priorities amid shifting timelines Ability to present technical topics to non-technical stakeholders Ability to network with Grid Operators Ability to propose cost-effective grid connection solutions
