ph3Europe Mechanical Engineer Project Engineer /h3 pPosition focuses on ensuring regulatory compliance and mechanical integrity across Europe.
/p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liLead mechanical integrity assessments for high?risk assets across all European sites.
/li liMaintain and update the Mechanical Integrity Criticality Assessment Register.
/li liDevelop written schemes of examination (RBI/WSE) with external consultants.
/li liApprove mechanical and structural designs for new or modified equipment.
/li liManage key capital projects at the Barry site, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
/li liCollaborate with site leaders, maintenance teams, and engineering personnel to agree on repair plans and decisions from inspections.
/li liUse SAP and other tools to report asset condition, inspection compliance, and identify end?of?life or overdue assets.
/li /ul h3Required Education Experience /h3 ul liUniversity degree in Mechanical Engineering.
/li liMinimum 10 years in Mechanical or Project Engineering within chemical or process industries.
/li liProven experience managing Mechanical Integrity programmes, including: /li ul liWritten Schemes of Examination (WSE)



/li liInspection planning /li liDegradation analysis /li liRepair execution /li /ul liStrong understanding of EU standards and directives, such as: /li ul liPressure Equipment Directive ********/EU) /li liMachinery Directive ********/EC) /li liSeveso Directive /li /ul liExcellent verbal and written communication, including working with non?native English speakers.
/li /ul h3Preferred Skills Competencies /h3 ul liTechnical leadership as SME in mechanical integrity and structural design.
/li liProject management from scope development through execution.
/li liAnalytical thinking for degradation mechanisms, failure modes, and material suitability.
/li liCollaboration with cross?functional teams and external consultants.
/li liSystems knowledge: SAP for asset condition reporting.
/li liStandard development experience (pipe classes, vessel design, metallurgy).
/li liWillingness to travel up to one week at a time within Europe.
