Senior Boat Builder – 2-Month Full-Time Contract

NLComp is a deeptech start-up founded in 2019 that develops and produces rComposite®, a recyclable thermoplastic composite material designed to replace conventional GRP. At our rFactory in Monfalcone we build hulls, decks and structural components for the marine industry, as well as parts for wind energy, furniture and sports equipment. Our technology is DNV-certified to ISO 14021:2016 and won the World Sailing Technology Award 2024.

The role
We have a defined production programme to deliver over September and October 2026 — roughly 44 working days — and we are looking for an experienced boat builder to work on it tempo pieno for the whole period. This is a freelance engagement on a fixed two-month term, not an open-ended position. You invoice us for the days worked. You will be part of our production team, with enough autonomy to run your own part of the build without supervision.

What you will do
Prepare and cut fabrics, dry-stack laminates, set up vacuum bags and run vacuum infusion
Hand lamination, structural bonding and assembly
Build and prepare moulds, jigs and fixtures as required




Demoulding, trimming, filling, sanding and surface preparation for painting
Check the quality of finished components and keep production records
What we are looking for

Requirements
5–8 years' experience minimum in a boatyard or composite component manufacturer
Strong command of vacuum infusion and hand lamination
Ability to read technical drawings and laminate schedules
Independent use of workshop tools and finishing equipment
A safety-conscious, tidy approach to the production area
Registered as self-employed, or able to invoice us for the engagement
Available to work on site in Monfalcone for the full two-month period

Composite mould construction
Working knowledge of English or Italian
