Japanese company specializing in industrial machinery and equipment is recruiting a Mechanical Engineer to support installation, commissioning, training, and after‑sales service of semiconductor manufacturing equipment at a customer site in Italy.

Required experience: mechanical engineering within the electronics or semiconductor industry; strong problem‑solving skills; ability to work independently while cooperating with other engineers and liaising with customers.

Main Responsibilities

- Install and commission semiconductor manufacturing equipment supplied by a Chinese manufacturer.

- Provide operational training and technical support to customers.

- Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and after‑sales service activities.

- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders regarding technical issues.

- Support equipment performance optimisation and problem resolution.

- Prepare service reports and technical documentation as required.





- Collaborate with supplier engineers during installation and support activities.

Ideal Candidate

-

- 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer within the semiconductor industry.

- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage customer‑facing technical support activities.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Willingness to travel internationally for training and project support.

- Business level fluency (C1) in both English and Italian.

Contract Details

Type: Fixed‑term Contract / Contractor (approximately 2 years, negotiable). Working hours: 9:00‑17:30 Monday to Friday. Salary: €40‑50k, depending on experience. Start: ASAP. Travel: Initial business trip to China for equipment training, with additional travel as required. Location: Catania, Italy (Customer Site) or Home‑Based. xysqume Ref: KM47430.
