Posizione

The Chemical Biology Lab at the Italian Institute for Genomic Medicine (IIGM) is seeking highly motivated candidates at all levels of seniority (predoc, postdoc)



to work in high-content imaging and analysis with a focus on cell-to-cell heterogeneity and phenotypic variability in membrane trafficking. The laboratory investigates key aspects of Rab GTPases and their involvement in hereditary genetic diseases. The project aims to generate cellular model of steroid-resistant nephrotic syndrome (SRNS) disease and perform genotype-phenotype correlation analysis using molecular and computational tools developed in the lab. By integrating phenotypic mapping with biochemical and genetic information, we seek to elucidate the biological functions of rare genetic variants causing steroid-resistant nephrotic syndrome. xysqume The Institute provides state-of-the-art genomics, single-cell genomics sequencing platforms and high-content imaging platforms.

Responsibilities

- Generate isogenic HK-2 cell lines harbouring genetic mutations causing SRNS disease

- Perform immunostaining of Rab GTPase and other proteins involved in intracellular trafficking

- Perform biochemical experiments on Rab GTPase regulators

- Conduct image acquisition using automated microscopy systems

- Perform image data analysis of high-dimensional dataset
