Technical Sales Representative – Flexible Packaging

PeoItaly is recruiting on behalf of a confidential international company specialising in masterbatches, additives and specialty solutions for the flexible packaging industry. We are looking for an experienced Technical Sales Representative to represent the company and expand its commercial presence across Europe, with a primary focus on the Italian market.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role combining business development, account management and technical-commercial coordination.

Key Responsibilities

- Represent and develop the company’s business within the European flexible packaging market, with particular focus on Italy.
- Identify and approach new potential customers and commercial partners.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with BOPP, CPP, BOPET, blown-film and other flexible packaging producers.
- Develop new business opportunities for additive masterbatches, white masterbatches and specialty packaging solutions.
- Serve as the main commercial contact for customers throughout the sales process.
- Coordinate product trials, technical discussions, testing, approvals and commercial developments.
- Work closely with internal technical and commercial teams to ensure timely customer support and successful product commercialisation.
- Build relationships with procurement, production, technical and R&D; teams within customer organisations.
- Support pricing discussions, commercial negotiations and account-development activities.
- Gather market intelligence and monitor competitors, market trends and industry developments.
- Represent the company during customer visits, exhibitions and relevant industry events across Europe.
- Contribute to the company’s long-term commercial growth in the European market.

Candidate Profile




- Approximately 4–6 years of relevant sales or business-development experience within plastics, masterbatches, polymer additives, chemicals or flexible packaging.
- Good understanding of BOPP, CPP, BOPET, blown-film and flexible packaging applications.
- A technical or academic background in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Materials Engineering or a related discipline would be an advantage.
- Existing professional relationships within the Italian or wider European packaging industry would be highly valued.
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and coordinate effectively with technical teams.
- Proactive, self-motivated and capable of managing customer accounts and business-development activities independently.
- Comfortable working remotely and taking ownership of the assigned market.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly across Italy and Europe.
- Strong communication skills in English; professional proficiency in Italian would be a strong advantage.
