Overview

As a Systems Engineer at Fortinet you will lead the technical aspects of the sales cycle and coordinate PoC activities to demonstrate Fortinet solutions. You will be the primary technical contact for customers and partners, translating requirements into differentiated, scalable security solutions. You will stay current on Fortinet products, the competitive landscape, and emerging threats while driving multiple projects to ensure a positive customer experience. This role offers the chance to shape cybersecurity outcomes for a large, global customer base and work closely with cross-functional teams to win opportunities.

Responsibilities

- Lead the technical aspects of the sales cycle, including RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs
- Coordinate and manage PoC activities with internal teams, partners, and customers
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers and partners
- Understand customer requirements deeply and craft differentiated Fortinet solutions
- Present Fortinet solutions in meetings, whiteboard sessions, deep dives, and documentation




- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Fortinet products, competitive landscape, and threats
- Manage multiple projects and priorities while delivering strong customer experience
- Document customer and opportunity data accurately in Salesforce

Qualifications
- Strong technical aptitude in cybersecurity technologies (encryption, authentication, network security, intrusion detection, anti-virus, and routing/switching/LAN/WAN) xysqume
- Experience in a pre-sales engineering role covering the full technical sales lifecycle
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a track record of contributing to key wins
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Knowledge of CISSP is a plus
