As Mechanical Field Engineer, you deliver specialized technical support to industrial customers, boosting reliability and performance through advanced tribology, vibration analysis and predictive maintenance. You collaborate with customers, Sales teams and TotalEnergies Lubrifiants experts to solve complex mechanical challenges and drive continuous improvement. You conduct on-site inspections and develop robust maintenance strategies to minimize downtime. This role sits at the intersection of field service, product development and customer success, with a clear focus on reliability and lubrication excellence. - Perform technical assessments of industrial equipment and lubrication systems
- Support reliability-centred maintenance strategies for customers
- Conduct on-site inspections using predictive maintenance tech and NDT methods
- Interpret condition monitoring data and propose corrective actions




- Prepare structured technical reports with findings and recommendations
- Provide technical lubrication expertise and optimize lubrication plans
- Investigate complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and support post-sales technical support
- Collaborate on development and validation of new products and solutions
- Deliver technical training and maintain technical documentation
- Support Marketing and Sales with technical input
- 2–5 years in industrial maintenance, reliability engineering, condition monitoring, or related fields
- Knowledge of vibration analysis and xysqume predictive maintenance
- Experience with condition monitoring technologies and diagnostic tools
- Understanding of lubrication systems and tribology
- Strong technical reporting and data interpretation
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
- Willingness to travel extensively in Italy
- Fluent in Italian and English
- ISO 18436-1 and/or ISO 18436-2 certification is appreciated
