As a hands-on Test Manager, you lead testing for Digital & Transaction Processing in Merchant Acquisition and Payment projects. You guide a distributed QA team, influence senior stakeholders, and drive test strategy across multiple programs. You’ll work with cross-functional partners to ensure quality and timely delivery in a complex payments ecosystem. This role offers impact at scale within a global fintech environment, shaping testing practices and project outcomes.
- Plan, deploy and oversee testing across multiple projects/programs
- Coordinate testing activities with project leads and cross-application teams
- Define and communicate test scope to certify business capabilities
- Develop and execute the overall test strategy and QA processes
- Mentor a distributed team of permanent and supplier testers
- Support multiple Scrum teams with estimation, planning and testing strategies
- Own QA phases: test planning, design, execution and closure
- Ensure adherence to QA best practices within QEA GBS
- Coordinate defect triage and maintain test packs (regression, smoke)
- Manage test environments and data quality across the estate
- Contribute to metrics collection and reporting for QEA GBS programs
- Ensure change management for testing scope changes and monitor budget and spend
- Collaborate with Project/Program Manager on risk and issue mitigation
- Enforce Quality Stage Gates and validate acceptance criteria
- 15-18 years of experience in testing/QA
- Domain expertise in Cards and Payments incl. xysqume Merchant Acquiring
- Fluent in Italian and English
- Knowledge of structured testing methods and delivery (waterfall and agile)
- Experience in both manual and automated testing, with automation framework definition
- Ability to manage all testing stages (SIT, NFT, UAT) and navigate project chaos
- Strong stakeholder management and reporting skills
- Experience with test environments, data quality, and risk mitigation
- Budget and metrics-driven project delivery
