We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Service Specialist to join our technical team. In this role, you will be the primary technical authority for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of advanced burner systems. You will handle complex troubleshooting on-site, provide expert guidance to junior technicians, and ensure our clients' thermal processes operate at peak efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities

- Advanced Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical failures on industrial burners, combustion control systems, and fuel delivery skids.

- Commissioning & Start-up: Lead the on-site startup of new burner installations, ensuring precise calibration of air-fuel ratios and compliance with local environmental standards.

- Preventative Maintenance: Execute and oversee scheduled maintenance programs to maximize system longevity and prevent unplanned downtime.

- Technical Advisory: Act as a subject matter expert for clients, providing recommendations on system upgrades, energy efficiency improvements, and safety retrofits.

- Leadership & Mentoring: Support and train junior field service technicians, fostering a culture of technical excellence and safety.

- Reporting: Prepare detailed technical reports, combustion analysis logs, and site visit summaries for both customers and internal stakeholders.





Required Qualifications & Skills

- Experience: Minimum of 5–8 years of hands‑on experience in field service specifically within the burner/combustion industry (Power Gen, HVAC, or Industrial Process).

- Technical Proficiency: Deep knowledge of gas, oil, and dual‑fuel burner technologies.

- Strong command of PLC‑based burner management systems (BMS) and flame safeguards.

- Ability to read and interpret complex P&IDs;, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.

- Certifications: Valid gas fitter licenses or relevant electrical/mechanical certifications (e.g., PED, ATEX knowledge) are highly preferred.

- Soft Skills: Exceptional problem‑solving skills, a "customer‑first" mindset, and the ability to work independently in high‑pressure environments.

- Mobility: Willingness to travel to client sites (frequent regional or occasional international travel).

- Language: Fluency in English (technical and conversational) is mandatory.

Compensation

The compensation package will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills and the scope of the role, applying objective and gender‑neutral criteria. We believe that transparency and fairness are essential to building trust, fostering inclusion and ensuring equal opportunities for everyone. xysqume As a reference, for such position we offer a salary ranging between 40.000 € and 58.000 €. This position is covered by the CCNL Metalmeccanici Industria.
