Knowledge Translation Consultant (Participatory Methods) Location: Rome, Italy (Remote with travel in Italy) • Duration: 4 months • Employment type: Consultant (National consultants accepted) Terms of Reference The role supports the dissemination and capitalization of knowledge related to the protection of unaccompanied and separated children (UASC) in Italy. The consultant will design and implement creative, interactive, and hybrid workshops for institutional audiences, translating key findings and best practices into engaging learning experiences. Responsibilities Design, adapt, and deliver participatory workshops and training modules for institutional audiences (Prefecture staff, Juvenile Court professionals, UASC reception practitioners). Adapt existing tools and materials to hybrid (online + in‐person) formats ensuring accessibility and inclusivity. Ensure alignment with Italian legislation (Law 47/2017), national guidance (Vademecum), EU frameworks, and UNICEF policies.



Collaborate with the senior consultant and multi‐stakeholder teams to coordinate workshops and produce facilitation materials. Facilitate knowledge capitalization, stakeholder engagement, and dissemination processes. Prepare facilitation notes, handouts, and interactive exercises aligned with learning objectives. Qualifications Master's degree in Social Sciences, Education, Law, Public Policy, or related field. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in designing and facilitating interactive, participatory, and hybrid workshops for institutional audiences. Experience in creating audience‐tailored dissemination materials from complex analytical or technical content. Familiarity with juvenile justice, child protection, migration, or asylum systems. Experience supporting knowledge capitalization and dissemination in NGOs, international organizations, or public institutions. Strong communication skills in Italian and English (written and verbal). Proficiency in visual and digital facilitation tools
