We are looking for a Materials Scientist to work on mid- to long-term innovation projects, contributing to the development of new materials, processes, and technologies.
The role involves working on both internal strategic initiatives and externally funded projects (e.g. Horizon Europe), collaborating with cross-functional and international teams.
Work on innovation projects, with a specific focus on ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget in collaboration with a manager
Develop project plans, define milestones in collaboration with the manager, and proactively manage risks
Support feasibility studies, prototyping, and validation of innovative concepts using a “fast fail” approach
Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-site teams to align standards and best practices
Monitor and evaluate emerging technologies, supporting their integration into products and processes
Education & Experience
Master’s degree in Materials Science, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or similar




A minimum of 3 years of experience in Research & Development in the manufacturing industry
Experience in managing or contributing to complex projects
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
Permanent employment contract under the Italian Metalworkers’ National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL Metalmeccanico).
Job classification level and compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and skills
Junior Profile (0–4 years of experience): indicative gross annual salary of €31,000–€33,200, with classification level between C3 and B1.
Experienced Profile (5–7 years of experience in the role): indicative gross annual salary of €34,000–€40,000, with classification level between B2 and B1.
