About the Role Accounting Specialist position in Trieste. Join a dynamic finance team led by a Finance Manager and five colleagues. The role requires full ownership of the accounts payable cycle, ensuring independent management and strict compliance with tax regulations.Key Duties
Receiving, registering and checking supplier invoices (domestic, EU and non‑EU)
Verifying the correct application of VAT rates and tax obligations (e.G., reverse charge, split payment)
Managing VAT registers
Preparing monthly/quarterly VAT returns (LIPE) and assisting with the completion of tax returns
Reconciling supplier accounts
Supporting external consultant for Yearly VAT declaration
Preparing INTRASTAT and Esterometro reports on cross‑border transactions
Managing intent letters
About You We’re looking for a skilled and motivated professional with a solid educational background, ideally holding a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and 3 to 5 years of experience as an Accounting Specialist within an international environment.
The ideal candidate brings strong negotiation and mediation skills and a deep understanding of Italian accounting regulations. Proficiency in MS Office tools and Accounting Information Systems is essential, as is fluency in English. Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 will be considered a strong advantage, while knowledge of free‑port areas would be a valuable plus.
Working at DFDS Full‑time (38 hours per week), Monday‑to‑Friday, with flexibility to support a healthy work‑life balance.
