ResponsibilitiesSociété Générale Corporate & Investment Banking (SG CIB) is a leading European investment bank delivering high value-added financial solutions through strong local coverage and global expertise.The M&A; Director is responsible for originating, leading, and executing complex M&A; and Private Equity-related transactions across buy-side and sell-side mandates. The role requires full accountability for transaction delivery, senior client relationship management, and the strategic positioning of SG CIB in competitive advisory situations, in Italy and on cross-border transactions. The Director will advise corporates and private equity sponsors on strategic opportunities and will play a visible role in franchise development.Tasks and responsibilities:Originate and execute M&A; and Private Equity-related transactions, across buy side and sell side mandatesAdvise clients on strategic transactions, investments, and divestmentsLead marketing activities, pitches, and client engagementManage transaction execution, including due diligence, financial analysis, valuation, and negotiationCoordinate internal teams and supervise junior bankersActively integrate ESG considerations into origination strategy and client advisoryEnsure full compliance with regulatory, risk,
and conduct standardsProfile requiredStudies & experience:Degree from a leading Business School or UniversityDemonstrated track record in originating and executing M&A; transactions involving corporates and private equity sponsorsStrong expertise in Corporate Finance and Investment Banking productsLanguage skills:Italian: C2English: C1Technical, operational & Soft skills:Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial databasesExcellent communication, advisory, and negotiation skillsSolid understanding of financial, operational, and compliance risksSalary range:195K gross/yearWhy join usSociété Générale Italy is a multi-category bank offering every employee the possibility to have several careers in a professional career path.
