We are looking for passionate teachers who give their students hope for the future and can help them grow and be better than their previous best. /p h3bJob description - Classroom teaching responsibilities (80%) /b /h3 ul liEstablish classroom environments that are creative, focused, engaging, and which embody IB philosophy and the mission statement of the school. /li liUse flexible teaching methodologies that engage students with diverse learning styles. /li liLead by example, demonstrate the IB learner profile in action, and guide students toward becoming open‑minded, compassionate, thoughtful learners with a global perspective. /li liAssess and respond to student abilities and progress, adapting their approach with different teaching styles. /li liUndertake lesson preparation, set/mark examinations, write student reports, and develop assessments aligned to the IB requirements and the school calendar. /li liEffective use of the learning management system. /li liSet and mark students' work accurately and promptly, giving guidance and work according to their needs, supporting their development and progression. /li liProvide regular and supportive feedback to students and parents. /li liSupport students' personal development and wellbeing and seek support from the School Counsellor and Programme Heads where welfare concerns are identified. /li /ul h3bJob description - Team responsibilities (15%)
/b /h3 ul liWork collaboratively with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects, unit planning, assessment development, and improvement programs. /li liOpenly exchange ideas, expertise, resources, and tools with colleagues and within the subject areas to improve teaching within the school. /li liMaintain an in-depth knowledge of the appropriate curricula and current teaching trends, digital tools, and developments. /li /ul h3bJob description - School-wide responsibilities (5%) /b /h3 ul liBe an academic and pastoral mentor to a group of students. /li liFoster and promote a sense of pride and positive community spirit among staff and students. /li liUndertake cover lessons when required. /li liAssist with marking and evaluating placement exams when necessary. /li liCompulsory attendance at meetings both during and outside of school hours including school meetings, staff meetings, subject area meetings, interdisciplinary meetings, supervising student breaks, homeroom activities, and other meetings which are required by the school. /li liComplete supervision duties according to the calendar (possible duties include lunch supervision, drop‑off or departure duty, uniform checks, bus supervision, break, and supervision).
/li /ul h3bRequired Skills/Abilities /b /h3 h3bQualifications Requested /b /h3 ul liRight to work in Italy (EU passport or valid Italian work VISA) /li liA relevant bachelor's degree and teacher qualification (or another related field from an accredited, state‑approved programme). /li liImmaculate police check(s). /li /ul h3bContract Duration /b /h3 ul liFixed‑term, with the possibility for extension. /li /ul h3bExperience /b /h3 ul liA minimum of btwo years of recent and relevant experience /b in a comparable school environment. /li liRelevant teaching experience within the subject area(s), bpreferably in an IB school (MYP and/or DP) /b. /li liSpecialist skills knowledge. /li liProven ability to plan and deliver innovative inquiry‑based lessons that engage students and address their diverse learning needs. /li liDemonstrated ability to use bdigital tools /b and resources effectively to enhance learning. /liliPlanning and organisational skills. /li liFluent English: reading, speaking, writing (Common European Framework of Reference – CEFR level C1–C2). /li /ul h3bPersonal qualities and desired attitudes /b /h3 ul libPassionate /b about their subject areas and able to engender the same enthusiasm in students. /li liPositive and have worked to develop respectful relationships with colleagues and students. /li liDependable in all areas of the role. /li liFlexible, and able to adapt to new environments and cultures. /li liAble to contribute to and support life at H‑FARM International School through involvement in school activities and events and participation in our thriving school community. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
