Role
We are looking for a hands?on Mechanical Technician to support the assembly, integration, testing, and validation of our robotic systems and platforms.
Working closely with Mechanical Designers and Engineering teams, you will build, modify, and troubleshoot mechanical and mechatronic assemblies, contributing to the development of humanoid robot prototypes and production units.
Responsibilities
Assemble and integrate robotic systems, platforms, mechanical subassemblies and components
Support the build, validation, and continuous improvement of prototypes and production units
Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD-derived documentation, and assembly instructions
Perform mechanical fitting, adjustments, rework, and component modifications during development and production activities
Troubleshoot mechanical and electromechanical issues, supporting root?cause analysis and corrective actions
Support testing, commissioning, and validation activities for robotic systems and assemblies
Identify assembly and manufacturability issues, providing feedback to Mechanical Designers and Engineering teams
Document assembly procedures, modifications, and technical findings
Maintain tools, fixtures, workstations, and test equipment
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and manufacturing standards
Requirements
Technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Automation, or equivalent technical background
3-5 years of experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, robotics, automation,
or similar technical environments
Hands?on experience assembling complex mechanical or mechatronic systems
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, assembly instructions, and engineering documentation
Good understanding of mechanical assemblies, machine elements, and manufacturing processes
Experience troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or electromechanical issues
Strong manual skills, attention to detail, and problem?solving capabilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Availability to travel nationally and internationally is expected
Availability to work on shifts
Valued Extras
Experience with simulation and analysis tools (ANSYS, MATLAB, Simulink or equivalent) for FEA, dynamic simulation, or tolerance analysis
Previous exposure to robotics projects (academic, competition, or professional), particularly involving actuators, sensors, or locomotion systems
Familiarity with electromechanical integration concepts: motors, motor drivers, encoders, force/torque sensors
Advanced Materials: Experience with lightweight materials (composites, alluminium alloys) and structural optimization for weight?sensitive applications
Contributions to open?source robotics projects or a personal portfolio of mechanical design work
We Offer
