Business Development Manager
Come Innovate Motion with Us. As a Business Development Manager, you will work closely with cross‑functional teams and key customers to identify and drive profitable growth opportunities. By leading business development activities, you will leverage market insights and industry trends to shape product strategy, support new product development, and drive customer‑focused business opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Understand market needs and industry trends through customer engagement, market research, technology monitoring, product benchmarking and competitor analysis.
- Develop and implement business growth strategies to win targeted opportunities, collaborating with regional teams to adapt business models to local market requirements.
- Drive commercial performance by monitoring revenue, profitability and BOM targets, while supporting strategy development and marketing reviews.
- Collaborate with R&D; teams to define product roadmaps, set development targets and drive product enhancements aligned with business strategy, customer needs and market trends.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, key stakeholders and cross‑functional teams to support long‑term business success.
- Assess and monitor RFQs, business opportunities and project viability to ensure strategic and profitable decision‑making.
- Partner closely with Sales teams by providing guidance and support on product strategy, value proposition, pricing, differentiation and overall go‑to‑market approach.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Ideally 3+ years of experience in Business Development or a similar role, preferably within the automotive industry.
- Technical knowledge of cooling fans and BLDC motors would be considered a strong advantage.
- Hands‑on experience with, or a strong affinity for, digital technologies, including PowerBI and AI tools.
- Experience interacting with customers and managing RFQ processes.
- Excellent communication skills with the capability to coordinate between cross‑functional teams and drive results.
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving skills.
- Fluency in English is required; German language skills will be considered an advantage.
