For one of our clients, we are looking for a
Cloud engineer with NATO Secret security clearance.
Location:
La Spezia, Italy (relocation required)
Security Clearance:
NATO Secret (mandatory)
Contract : B2B
Duties/role:
Working with the IT team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the organization;
Supporting the planning, designing, and developing on-prem and cloud-based applications;
Managing the on-prem infrastructure and the cloud environment in accordance with the organization's security guidelines;
Leading and developing best practices for the cloud and systems engineering team.
Supervising the execution of standard system administration duties, on prem and in the cloud, including server installation, System/Application installation and patch management, Windows and Linux problem determination and resolution, log analysis;
Orchestrating and automating on-prem and cloud-based platforms throughout the organization;
Defining project plans and backlogs,



monitoring project execution, reporting;
Implementing day-to-day team management by application of Agile principles, organize daily standups.
Desirable:
Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering;
Certified AWS Solutions Architect, Cloud Security Certification, and/or OpenStack Administrator Certification;
Experience in developing software using languages such as Java and Python;
Service knowledge of Windows PowerShell 2.0;
Extensive experience with open-source technology, software development, and system engineering;
Database experience, including knowledge of SQL and NoSQL, and related data stores such as Postgres;
Excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to stay focused on completing tasks and meeting goals within a busy workspace;
Interest in Cloud Engineering and its impact on greater business practices;
Skilled at working in tandem with a team of engineers, or alone as required;
Previous experience in NATO and knowledge of NATO policies.
