Our client is a multinational company leader in global manufacturer of lifting and material processing products and services. We are looking for a Commercial Operations Manager.The key focus for the figure is to coordinate the commercial office of the plant based in Bologna area (3 resources), reporting directly to General Manager.Key Responsibilities: Interface between the sales office, the sellers, the sales management and Finance DepartmentPreparation of margin analysis for commercial managementMaintenance of the price list (calculation tool)Constant updating to the commercial management on the progress of orders taken, possible orders, shipments, etc.Participation in S&OP meetings in preparation for the changes to be made to the production planResponsible for creating and establishing Best Practices for Commercial office compliance and risk controls.Ensuring Commercial Office adherence to Tax, Ethics & Compliance, SOX as well as other mandated compliance controlsEstablish a Customer – Centric culture that focuses on developing the people, providing the right tools to delight internal customers with accurate information in a timely mannerManage daily meeting to co-ordinate customer requirements with production planning,
finance and transportHelp drive production plans by ensuring that customer orders are slotted correctly and that manufacturing constraints are in line with forecasts and customer order bookProvide on time and accurate information and reporting to the Sales ManagerAssist Sales Managers by preparing and submitting quotations to Customers, ensuring all specification and pricing criteria has been meManage the Sales Administration process to ensure: department is working in compliance with Tax and SOX processes and that appropriate approvals are in place prior to product shipment; internal and External Customers are regularly informed of their delivery date at all timesQualifications &Experience Required: Degree or diploma qualification in a Business Discipline. At least 5 years of experience in the same role, preferably in metalworking contexts.Specific experience involving Importing/Exporting/ Letters of Credit/Bank GuaranteesComplete experience in a Sales Administration/Customer Support/Customer facing role.Requires advanced PC and technical skills (heavy excel & ERP(s) system use (the knowledge of Oracle system is a plus)Process oriented person with significant focus on process improvement (LEAN)Must be focused on customer needs, listen openly and attentively to those needs, and able to translate those needs into plans and actions.Adept at negotiating/recommending solutionsAdvanced written communication skills to prepare proposals and business correspondence.Complete the profile:Strong time management skillsStrong problem solving skills with ability to establish creative solutions.Fluent English (spoken and written).
