This role ensures excellent patient service, efficient scheduling, and administrative accuracy. The ideal candidate is bilingual (English/Spanish), experienced in surgical scheduling, and highly skilled in managing accurate provider schedules. Familiarity with Athenahealth is preferred. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliSupervise and support front desk team in daily operations including patient check- in/check-out, appointment scheduling, and phone triage /liliEnsure provider schedules are accurate and up to date, including adjustments for surgeries, time off, and overbooking policies /liliCoordinate surgical scheduling, including pre-operative testing, imaging, authorizations, and post-operative follow-up /liliTrain and coach front desk staff on proper use of practice workflows and policies /liliVerify insurance eligibility, obtain referrals and prior authorizations, and support patients in understanding coverage /liliOversee collection and posting of co-pays and balances; ensure accuracy in financial transactions /liliServe as the first point of contact for patient concerns or service recovery /liliMonitor and report on front office performance metrics,
including schedule utilization and no-show rates /liliCollaborate with clinical, billing, and administrative staff to ensure smooth operations and patient satisfaction /liliMaintain HIPAA compliance and enforce all office protocols /liliCoordinate front desk staff scheduling and ensure adequate coverage at all times /li /ulh3Qualifications /h3pEducation Experience: /pulliHigh school diploma or equivalent required; associates or bachelors degree preferred /liliMinimum of 3 years of medical office experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role /liliSurgical scheduling experience is required /liliAthenahealth experience is preferred but not required /liliBilingual in English and Spanish is preferred /li /ulh3Skills /h3ulliProven ability to manage and maintain accurate provider schedules /liliStrong leadership and communication skills /liliHigh attention to detail, organization, and multitasking ability /liliFamiliarity with EMR systems and insurance processes /liliStrong customer service and conflict-resolution abilities /liliProactive, adaptable, and team-oriented /li /ulh3Working Conditions /h3ulliFast-paced medical office environment /liliFrequent use of computer and phone systems /liliOccasional lifting (up to 25 lbs) /liliFlexibility may be required during high-volume periods or surgical scheduling demands /li /ulh3Schedule /h3ulliFull-time, Monday through Friday /liliOccasional early mornings or extended hours depending on surgical and provider schedules /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
