About the CompanyCOMAS, headquartered in Silea, Italy, is the world leading supplier of primary equipment and processing solutions for both Conventional Tobacco and New Generation Products (NGP), as well as an emerging player in energy storage and food industries, with around 150 million euros in revenues, 300 employees across 3 companies.COMAS' vision is to provide customers with the best primary solutions, first class equipment and on time project delivery, whilst maintaining a flexible approach.COMAS is part of Coesia, a group of innovation-based industrial and packaging solutions companies operating globally, headquartered in Bologna, Italy.Coesia operates in 34 countries with 21 different companies and employs over 8,000 people as of 2025.About the Role• Design and develop industrial systems for the transport, dosing, mixing, and processing of liquids, from concept through detailed engineering.• Design piping systems, process equipment, supporting structures, and skid-mounted solutions, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and industry standards.• Develop hygienic and sanitary designs for food, pharmaceutical, and other high-cleanliness applications, considering CIP/SIP requirements, cleanability, and contamination control.• Perform process and equipment risk assessments, including the safe handling of hazardous, flammable, corrosive, or toxic liquids, ensuring compliance with relevant safety regulations.• Design systems with a strong focus on maintainability, accessibility, ergonomics, operator safety,
and ease of inspection and maintenance throughout the equipment lifecycle.• Produce engineering documentation, including P&IDs;, equipment layouts, piping layouts, specifications, and technical documentation.• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to integrate process, mechanical, electrical, automation, and safety requirements into complete industrial solutions.• Support commissioning, start-up, troubleshooting, and optimization of industrial process plants.What You Need to Be Successful• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, or an equivalent engineering discipline.• At least 8 years of experience in the design of industrial process plants, with particular focus on systems for the transport, dosing, mixing, and processing of liquids.• Good knowledge of Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD Plant and Vault.• Organized and task-oriented• Team player• Strong focus on innovation and curiosity for innovative solutions•Available to travel upon request•Fluent in EnglishCoesia is an equal opportunity employer and embraces diversity and inclusion.Our OfferCompensation for this role includes a base salary starting from EUR 45.000, in line with experience. The actual offer may exceed this minimum based on the candidate's qualifications and fit for the role.
