Ground Sys_2026Your TasksDefinition of ground segment design, development and programmatic frameworkDefinition and justification of S/S architecture, from concept to detailed design phaseDefinition and control of S/S technical interfaces, internal and externalDefinition and control of system technical budget and marginsTechnical management of Mission Planning, Flight Dynamics, Satellite Control Center, Ground Stations, User Ground SegmentTechnical management of subsystems design activities down to component levelCompetence in communication network protocols, data transfer methods, cloud-based systemsYour QualificationsMaster’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or comparable degreeProfessional experience of at least ten years in Ground Segment (G/S) engineering projects for space systems, in Phase C/D as mandatoryProfessional experience of at least five years in definition and design of S/S for EO systems for institutional and/or commercial customersStrong competences in design and development of EO spaceExperience in the definition,
management and traceability of requirements structure with the support of DOORSUse of simulation and computing tools for the definition of G/S performances, e.g. STK, Python, MATLABProven capability to define G/S design throughout the support of model-based methods, techniques and tools (e.g. SysML, UML)Sound knowledge of ground system engineering processes, and ground system and software life cyclesSound knowledge of relevant ECSS standardsExcellent conceptual and analytical skillsAbility to devise creative solutions and think out of the boxProven heritage and attitude for problem solving and project team managementHigh level of flexibility, willingness to work in international teams and ability to keep tight schedulesHigh motivation, proactive working approach and strong sense of responsibilityExcellent communication, presentation and documentation skillsFluency in both spoken and written (Business) English, Italian skills are desirableThe gross annual remuneration package will be determined based on the degree of alignment between the candidate’s profile and the requirements of the role, as well as the level of professional experience acquired. The salary range is therefore as follows:30,000–60,000
