ph3Electrical Engineer (m/f/i) - (High Voltage) motors / transformers /h3h3Job Description /h3pFor our European Engineered Materials department we are looking for a dynamic and flexible bElectrical Engineer (m/f/i) /b with knowledge of (High Voltage) motors / transformers who enjoys working with domestic and international clients to evaluate their insulation systems according to American, European, and international requirements.
/ppDue to testing being done at client's facilities, you are requested to travel frequently to different countries in Europe, to witness the testing.
/ppYou will get an extensive training before working independently.
You will work in a diverse and international team, working individually as well as collaborating with national and international colleagues.

/ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliDetermines project scope, develops a preliminary plan of investigation, and determines project specifications such as test plan, time, and sample requirements by analyzing client input, available supplemental data.
/liliProjects may include travel to witness tests at client sites.
Initiates communication with clients to promote and explain the benefits of new and existing services.
/liliFollows up on contacts from clients.
/liliCommunicates with clients to discuss technical issues, explain UL procedures and requirements, negotiate completion date and sample requirements.
/liliActs to address client concerns and to resolve client issues.
/liliProvides technical assistance to clients in reference to product inspection and follow-up services.
Establishes appropriate test programs by reviewing files and manufacturer's information and applying UL requirements.




/liliIs familiar with applicable standards, company manuals and appropriate technical literature.
/liliExamines samples for compliance with UL requirements and notifies client of any areas in which the product is not in compliance or of any changes in project scope or specifications.
/liliCoordinates laboratory activities by preparing data sheets and instructions to technicians, scheduling and reviewing work of laboratory technicians and engineering assistants and establishing completion dates.
/liliCoordinates administrative aspects of project management.
/liliMay serve as Project Handler of record and/or Reviewer of record as assigned.
/liliCommunicates project status and results to clients through frequent contact and by preparing reports.
/liliPrepares Follow-Up Service Procedures and information pages.
/liliIntegrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.
/liliResolves engineering issues associated with FUS Non Conformances by analyzing and reporting on the acceptability of the Non Conformance.
/liliAnalyzes test program for adequacy and sequence.
/liliMay coordinate and/or perform File Reviews, as directed.
/li /ulh3Qualifications /h3ulliAssociate or Master Degree in bElectrical Engineering /b, or a comparable qualification, along with several years of relevant professional experience /liliStrong communication, project management, and organizational skills /lilibEnglish language skills (fluent speaking/reading and writing is a must have) /b /lilibGerman language skills (speaking/reading and writing is a must have) /b /liliSpanish/Italian language skills (nice to have) /liliStrong customer service skills and willing to go the extra mile /liliGood analytical skills and looking for continuous improvement /liliProficiency in Microsoft Office /li /ulpGreat cooperation skills and open for feedback /ppWillingness to frequently travel to different countries in Europe.
