Thanks to our diversity of skills, talents and cultures, our customers (governments, institutions, space agencies, telecommunications operators), therefore have Space to Connect, Secure Defend, Observe Protect, Explore, Travel Navigate. /p h31.1.1 Telecommunication E2E System/Ground Tools System Engineer/Architect – Job profile description /h3 h3Activity in the frame of Institutional System: Italian nationality preferred. /h3 h3Main Role (System Engineer – Solution): /h3 pTo provide specialized engineering expertise in the frame of E2E systems and Ground Segment sub-systems and components, in terms of design and analyses, in all phases of a space project life cycle, from design specification to manufacturing, integration, verification phases, up to operations. /p pThe role will be focused in the frame of E2E systems and processed payloads with focus on definition of Ground Tools aimed to improve E2E performance (e.g. interference detection, mission planning, signal analyses, …). /p pExpertize in the frame of Secure TTC systems is a valuable asset as well capability to define SW requirement and to validate SW products. /p pHe/She perform System / Subsystem Performance Analyses with the aim to finalize breakdown to components requirements (e.g. Link Budget, BER evaluation and code correction performance, Coverage Analyses and pointing Loss, Linearity and distortions, Phase Noise and phase jitter simulation, switching stack probability, resource assignment and Mission Planning simulation, …) /p h3Experience / Qualifications /h3 ul liMaster’s Degree in Engineering, Physic or equivalent, with a specialization which includes telecommunication or RF electronics engineering,



and a votation 105/110 /li liOn Ground System design, Mission Planning /li li2-4 years related work experience in RF engineering possibly in space industry environment is a valuable asset /li liKnowledge of payload architecture, design and manufacturing: ul liRF equipment, repeater and antenna subsystem /li liLink budget and capacity assessment /li liWaveform, ModCod as well as TLC standard protocol knowledge (5G, DVB, …) /li liRepeater RF performance measurement /li liIntegration and testing /li liQuality control essentials /li /ul /li liKnowledge of UHF and L Band technologies and Internet of Things architectural concepts is a valuable asset /li liUsage of SW design tools (STK, Satsoft, MATLAB) is a valuable asset /li liExperience in antenna and payload equipment procurement activities is an asset /li liExperience in programming languages (Java/C) and payload computer simulation (Matlab, Simulink) and design tools is an asset /li liExcellent English communications skills both written and oral /li liWillingness to learn new technologies and systems /li liAbility to work autonomously, effectively and cooperatively in a diverse and international team environment and to define and implement solutions in line with team and individual objectives and project deadlines /li liGood analytical, organizational and reporting skills, a proactive attitude to solving problems and an interest in innovative technologies /li liGreat team working attitude /li liAvailability to work at Customer premises in Vigna di Valle for at least 50% of yearly working days is a valuable asset /li /ul pAt Thales Alenia Space we provide CAREERS and not only jobs.
