In this context, it becomes fundamental to strengthen the control and activities dedicated to supplier quality.
The Junior Supplier Quality Development Engineer supports activities for the development and continuous improvement of the quality of suppliers and authorized service workshops.
In this role, the person assists the team in verifying compliance with company quality standards, contributing to the reduction of defects and the improvement of the reliability of supplies and services.
The main objective is to learn to monitor supplier performance, collaborate in quality analyses, and participate in improvement initiatives,
progressively growing in autonomy and skills.
The resource will be responsible for the following activities: Support the evaluation and selection activities of new suppliers, collecting necessary data and documentation and assisting the team in analyses.
Contribute to the monitoring of the quality of suppliers and authorized service workshops, participating in internal/external audits and assisting in the preparation of reports.
Collaborate with the engineering and production team in collecting information and reports related to any supplier quality problems.
Assist in the qualification and homologation processes of supplied components and materials, mainly dealing with documentary support activities and preliminary checks.
Participate in the analysis of non-conformities, contributing to data collection and follow-up of corrective and preventive actions defined by the team.
Assist colleagues in the application of the main quality methodologies (e.g., PPAP, FMEA, APQP, 8D, SPC), with the aim of learning their use and contributing to operational activities.
Monitor some basic supplier KPIs, preparing periodic reports and signaling any deviations to the team.
Participate, as support, in continuous improvement initiatives, cost reduction, and optimization of supply processes.
Support the verification of compliance with quality regulations (ISO ****, IATF ***** or others), collaborating in the preparation of documentation and check-lists.
Collaborate with the Quality and Purchasing teams in the daily management of issues related to supplier quality.
REQUIREMENTS Degree in Mechanical, Management, Materials Engineering, or equivalent.
At least 1 year of experience in quality, production, supplier quality, or supply chain.
Basic knowledge of quality standards (ISO ****; knowledge of IATF ***** or VDA as a plus).
Introductory familiarity with quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D, SPC) or strong motivation to learn them.
Interest in audit activities and analysis of production processes, with availability to assist senior colleagues.
Good analytical skills and aptitude for problem-solving.
Good communication skills and aptitude for interaction with internal teams and suppliers.
Willingness to travel for visits and audits to suppliers.
Fluent knowledge of English, other languages are a plus.
Good command of IT tools (Excel, PowerPoint; quality and data analysis software as a plus).
Soft Skills: Aptitude for teamwork and cross-functional collaboration.
