Logistics Experienced Professional-Customs Operations (M/F/D)

Responsibilities

- Act as the primary point of contact between the business, bonded warehouse operator, customs broker and internal stakeholders.
- Oversee inbound and outbound bonded warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and company policies.
- Monitor customs broker and logistics provider performance through KPIs, service reviews and governance meetings.
- Manage governance of the overall bonded warehouse process, including customs accounting, inventory reconciliation, compliance monitoring, monthly reporting and quarterly business reviews.
- Establish and maintain an internal control framework to verify that the bonded warehouse and customs broker operate in compliance with applicable customs regulations, internal procedures and contractual requirements.
- Perform periodic reviews and reconciliations between customs records, warehouse inventory and ERP transactions to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
- Coordinate corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives resulting from audits, inspections, compliance reviews or operational findings.




- Manage customs broker billing verification and ensure alignment between contracted services and invoiced activities.
- Support customs audits, inspections and interactions with customs authorities, providing documentation, reporting and process expertise as required.
- Partner with Logistics, Customs and Trade Compliance teams to ensure proper governance of customs duties, guarantees, special customs regimes and regulatory obligations.
- Drive process standardization, transparency and compliance across bonded warehouse operations while facilitating communication between internal stakeholders and external service providers.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Solid experience in customs operations, bonded warehouses, special customs regimes, and import/export processes.
- Strong operational knowledge of warehouse transactions, inventory management, customs flows and process optimization.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to assess compliance risks, identify process gaps, perform reconciliations and implement effective corrective actions.
- Experience in governance, auditing or compliance monitoring activities within logistics, customs or supply chain environments.
- Ability to design and manage control frameworks,



performance dashboards and compliance monitoring processes.
- Strong problem‑solving capabilities and the ability to manage complex operational and regulatory issues.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence internal teams, customs brokers, logistics providers and external authorities.
- Comfortable working across multiple functions including Logistics, Trade Compliance, Controllership and Operations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems; knowledge of Oracle EBS and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is preferred.
- Fluent in English and capable of operating effectively in a global and cross‑functional environment.

Pay

Initial pay range: EUR 38,603.44 – 49,500.

Collective bargaining agreement: Contratto Collettivo Industria Metalmeccanica e della installazione di impianti, Section VI – Titolo IV.
