NXP is building new teams in Catania to create high impact microcontrollers (MCU) as part of NXP's intelligent AI at the Edge.
This team will include a wide range of engineering talent from analog to SOC digital design.
Full product development local will product world class products at a world class pace.
This team will include all key engineering disciplines in Design, Architecture, Verification, Df T and Physical Design to produce high performance and quality products.
Role Summary: Define,
architect and DC-DC systems for integration in Microcontroller(MCU)productsand for MCU based systems System simulation of DC-DC systems Quantify block level specificationsfor implementation Quantify implementation impairments in overall system performance Ensure architecture & implementation meet system requirements both pre and post silicon Your Responsibility: Work with system architects and marketing to develop power solutions for MCU based products.
Defineinnovative DC-DC, switcher architectures including buck, buck-boostand boost converters.
Mayalso include capacitive converters.
Simulation of DC-DC, switcher architectures including digital control and analog impairments using simulatorslike matlab, Simplis or equivalent.
Block level analog design when required including layout oversight, review and signoff.
Work with analog and digital designers to implement architecture and ensure that requirements are met before AND after tape out.
Mentorship and development of junior engineers Your Profile Master'sdegree in electronic engineeringrequired 10+ years of product development experience including switch mode power supplies design and architecture.
Strong and effective communication and teamwork skills
