/p pFind out more under: Hazardous Locations Equipment Testing | UL Solutions /p pAs our global footprint continues to spread across the world, we are looking for an experienced: /p h3Electronics Project Engineer – Hazardous Locations (m/f/d) /h3 pPossible locations: Milan / Italy – Braunschweig / Germany or Warrington / UK /p pWork arrangement: On-Site (5 days per week in the office) /p h3Responsibilities /h3 pYou will be managing customer projects and traveling to conduct or witness tests at client sites ******% of the time).
As a project engineer in this role, you are ideally experienced with the IEC/EN ***** series of standards.
You will manage projects by analyzing project scope and determining project specifications, establishing test programs for product investigations and preparing reports for clients.
/p h3Your tasks /h3 ul liIndependently manage projects in the Hazardous Locations (HazLoc) segment, develop a preliminary plan of investigation and determine project specifications such as cost, time, test plan and sample requirements by analyzing client input, available supplemental data, and product construction.
Projects may include regular travel to conduct or witness tests at client sites.
/li liCommunicate with clients to discuss technical issues, explain UL procedures and requirements, convey project cost and negotiate completion date and sample requirements.
/li liAct to address client concerns and to resolve client issues.
/li liProvide technical assistance to clients in reference to product inspection and follow-up services.
/li liCoordinate laboratory activities by preparing data sheets and instructions to technicians, scheduling and reviewing work of Laboratory Technicians and support staff and establishing completion dates.
/li liCoordinate administrative aspects of project management and communicate project status and results to clients through frequent contact and by preparing reports.
/li liServe as Project Handler of record and may sign as Reviewer of record as assigned.
/li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liUniversity Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or Physics from an accredited program plus four years directly related work experience.
/li liDetailed knowledge of the technical vocabulary common to the appropriate discipline.
/li liWorking knowledge of conformity standards in use in area of expertise.
/li liDemonstrated ability to apply project-handling concepts in use in area of expertise.
