Job Description
Renesas is seeking a motivated and experiencedStaff Test Engineerto support test development activities for new products within the Performance Computing Power (PCP) business unit in Catania, Italy.
This role is a solid individual contributor position requiring hands?on expertise in ATE development, product debugging, and data analysis.
The candidate will work closely with senior engineers to develop efficient and reliable test solutions, contributing to successful product bring?up and production ramp.
You will be involved in innovative power management products, including multiphase controllers, smart power stages, and 48?V system power regulators.
Develop and supportATE test programs and hardwarefor analog, mixed?signal, and power management products
Contribute totest plan definition and implementation, ensuring coverage and efficiency
Executeproduct bring?up, characterization, and validation activities
Performdebug and failure analysison ATE and bench setups
Analyze test data to improveyield, repeatability, and test robustness
Collaborate withDesign, Product Engineering, and Operations teamsto resolve technical issues
Supportproduction ramp and sustaining activities
Contribute totest cost optimization and test time reduction initiatives
Follow and apply establishedDFT and test methodologies
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering (Master's is a plus)




5–8+ years of experiencein ATE test engineering or related field
Experience withATE platforms(Advantest 93K, Teradyne, SPEA, or similar)
Basic knowledge ofDFT concepts and production test flows
Experience indebugging analog and mixed?signal systems
Familiarity with lab equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, spectrum analyzer)
Programming skills inC/C++, Python, or similar
Understanding ofdata analysis and basic statistical methods
Strong hands?on approach and willingness to learn
Good problem?solving and debugging skills
Ability to work both independently and within a team
Attention to detail and execution focus
Effective communication in cross?functional environments
Additional Information
The expected annual pay range for this position is €47,000–€64,000.
