ph3bConsultant – Product Development at McKinsey Company /b /h3 pJoin us to focus on product innovation and operational excellence within our Operations Practice.
You will partner with clients across industries to design, implement, and refine product development strategies that drive growth, improve margins, and create sustainable competitive advantages.
/p h3Your Impact /h3 pYou will work as a core member of the Operations Excellence Program (OEP) and participate in client engagements across various industry and service lines.
Your responsibilities include: /p ul liDiagnose operational and product development challenges by identifying issues, forming hypotheses, designing analyses, and synthesizing conclusions into actionable recommendations.
/li liLead end?to?end problem solving, from data collection and analysis to recommendation development and client communication.
/li liCollaborate with cross?functional client teams to design and execute initiatives that improve product development cycles, reduce time?to?market, and enhance product quality.
/li liDeliver client presentations, facilitate workshops, and build client relationships that create lasting impact.
/li liEngage in advanced training and structured capability?building programs that focus on six operations themes:



manufacturing, product development, purchasing, service operations, supply chain management, and capital excellence.
/li liContribute to ongoing knowledge development, share best practices, and mentor junior consultants on the OEP team.
/li /ul h3Your Qualifications and Skills /h3 ul liMaster's degree with exceptional academics.
/li liInitial experience in product development (e.g., product optimization, value analysis, leading RD projects, technical supplier management).
/li liProven record of leadership in a work setting and/or through extracurricular activities.
/li liMobility and enthusiasm for taking on European assignments during the work week.
/li liExceptional analytical and quantitative problem?solving skills.
/li liAbility to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English and local office language.
