Starting from July/September, Stone Island is looking for a Design Studio Intern to join our team in Milan.
The Role
Design Studio Intern
Responsibilities
- Support the Head Designer throughout the design process, including research and concept development.
- Assist in the creation of sketches and technical drawings, focusing on Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Maintain and continuously update physical boards with sketches, drawings and development notes, ensuring alignment during review meetings.
- Support fitting preparation and organization.
- Prepare garments for development and fitting sessions by pinning and marking pieces according to received notes, ensuring correct execution of adjustments and accurate translation of design intent.
- Collaborate closely with pattern makers, product development and production teams to ensure consistency between design vision and final output.
- Support day-to-day administrative and organizational tasks within the design studio and prepare clear and structured reports following meetings, summarizing feedback, comments and action points.
Qualifications
- Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
- Degree in fashion design or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of garment construction and materials.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience with AI tools for visual rendering and concept development is a strong plus.
