Offer Description

Within the TERSAN project,



the research activities will focus on the development and design of bioengineering solutions for the bioprocessing and biodegradation of industrial plastics. The candidate will assess the catabolic activity and the ability of environmental microbial strains to assimilate synthetic polymers. The candidate will also define strain engineering strategies to enhance catalytic efficiency and interaction with plastic matrices. xysqume Finally, the activity will include the formulation and characterization of synergistic microbial consortia aimed at accelerating plastic degradation.
