In this leadership role you drive Italy's country-level public policy and government affairs strategy for the MedTech sector, shaping market access and healthcare policy to enhance patient access and system resilience. You will serve as a senior interface to policymakers and executives, translating policy developments into strategic insights. Your work supports J&J;’s mission to advance healthcare innovation within a European context. This role offers impact across policy, industry advocacy, and cross-functional collaboration. annual premio with target percentage parential leave (minimum 12 weeks) caregiver leave Define and lead the country public policy and government affairs strategy aligned with sector priorities Shape market access policy and MedTech initiatives Monitor and analyze legislative and political developments affecting healthcare and procurement Translate policy trends into strategic insights for senior leadership Provide thought leadership on topics like healthcare reform, sustainability, digital health,



and data governance Serve as primary senior interface with national and regional policymakers and public institutions Build and maintain long-term relationships with policymakers and external stakeholders Represent the sector in high-impact policy debates and negotiations Lead country engagement with national and regional trade associations and coalitions Align national positions with European frameworks for a coherent MedTech voice Act as strategic advisor to leadership on public policy and external trends Drive cross-functional collaboration with Regulatory Affairs, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Communications & Public Affairs, Legal, and Commercial teams University degree required 10+ years of government affairs or relevant experience in Italy In-depth knowledge of legislative and regulatory processes and political environment in Italy Ability to engage with government stakeholders Understanding of European policy making and Italian trade relationships (desirable) Experience influencing policy matters in MedTech and/or pharmaceutical/healthcare industries Ability to align business goals with policy strategies Strong project management and leadership capabilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Generative and agentic AI-savvy approach to policy intelligence and stakeholder engagement
