They are seeking an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of a flagship data centre development in Milan. The role covers full commercial management of MEP packages across the project lifecycle, working closely with project leadership, site teams, design managers and client representatives to ensure robust cost control, contract compliance and strong commercial performance. You will be responsible for managing valuations, variations, procurement support and subcontractor accounts, ensuring accurate reporting and effective commercial management across all MEP scopes within a complex, fast-paced delivery environment. Working closely with engineering, planning and delivery teams, you will ensure scope alignment, cost certainty and commercial risk is actively managed in line with programme and client requirements.Key Responsibilities
Manage MEP commercial activities across the full project lifecycle Prepare and review valuations,
applications for payment and variation accounts Administer subcontractor accounts and manage contractual obligations Support procurement of MEP subcontract packages and suppliers Monitor project costs, budgets, forecasts and commercial reporting Identify, assess and manage commercial risks and opportunities Ensure contract compliance and adherence to main contract requirements Work closely with engineering and site teams to align scope and delivery Support change management, claims and compensation events where required Liaise with client and consultant teams on commercial matters Contribute to monthly cost reporting and project financial reviewsRequirements Proven Quantity Surveyor experience with strong MEP exposure Background working for main contractors on large-scale industrial or hyperscale data centre projects Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical and public health systems Experience managing subcontractor accounts and complex packages Good knowledge of construction contracts, valuations and cost control Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or similar Experience working within large, multi-disciplinary project environmentsPackage 85k - 100k basic + overseas package Accommodation and travel support Premio scheme Private healthcare and pension Long-term role on a flagship hyperscale data centre project in Europe
