Job PurposeTo support activities assigned with the scope of Roma Plant continuous improvement applied in the Technical Service area with special focus on the processes tire building, tire quality and uniformity. The person should be able to develop and carry out autonomously his activities with supervision from coordinator.Able to manage for new products, tire spec evaluation to prevent defects and quality issue with focus on industrialization phase.The final objective is to improve product quality, reduce waste and optimize the machine setup of the Rome plant/advanced workshop through the systematic application of data based methodologies/process improvement evaluations and setup standardization to ensure full compliance with the requirements of BS standards with the ultimate goal of achieving superior quality throughout the value chain.Main Responsibilities:Roadmap implementationSupport Roma Plant/Advanced Workshop processes applied in the manufacturing.Support the injection of technical Service capabilities.Machine setup optimizationTire spec verificationTire building machine follow up.Tire uniformity improvementFollow up of operators training on TS perspective.Daily activities regarding TS activitiesTechnical Service support to new processTo join cross functional teams for tire spec features at the early product design phaseDevelop measurement technologies, control strategies, information systems, and methods that achieve ambitious target.Develop and implement inspection tools/methods to evaluate tire quality.Problem solving based on data analysis/product verification; provide guidance to determine root cause and recommend potential solutions.Interface with internal and external groups to ensure that proper definition of expectations and that appropriate assurance techniques.Coach and ensure Technical Service mindset & awareness is built in the Team.Risk reduction, Continuous ImprovementPerform root cause analysis of TS issues using advanced problem-solving tools.Recommend and implement simple cost-effective permanent corrective actions.
Promote horizontal extension.Reinforce TS systems to identify and reduce risks of tire defects and assure compliance to all requirements.Timely issuing and/or updating relevant Operative ProcedurePeriodical reporting on activities status to managementEducation and capabilities:Education :Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology or equivalent technology degree.Job ExperienceDesiderable tech service in tire industry or equivalent position in manufacturing industryCapabilities: Below competences/skills will be mandatory:Tire designProject ManagementProblem solvingQuality tools for problem solving (5Why, 8D, Fishbone, etc.)Knowledge on Tire technology / tire manufacturing process One or more of below competences/skills will be a plus:6 SIGMATire advanced technical Knowledge (Tire Features, Performances and Mechanics)Data analysisISO/TS 16949-IATF-VDA 6.3 core tools (FMEA, PPAC, SPC, APQP, MSA)Soft SkillsOpen mind and flexibility, Ability to interact with people, Ability to work under pressure, Good communication skills.Positive mindset and win-win approach will be key ingredient for the success in this role, in order to translate daily challenges in new business opportunities.Able to understand problems from customer perspective and be able to manage them with self-confidence and autonomy.The position requires a structured and disciplined working approach in order to successfully manage daily work, special projects and critical situations.Travel:The position requires availability to travels (in Europe or worldwide) at Bridgestone facilities/suppliers.Work Experience:Previous working experience in Tire Industry considered as a plus.Languages:English/Italian: fluent (Must)To be considered as a plus: Spanish, Polish, Hungarian.Salary range: 41155.92 - 64500The salary range is based on gender-neutral criteria: applicable CCNL requirements, responsibilities, working conditions and market benchmarks for the role and location. Final compensation will be determined based on gender-neutral criteria: experience, skills, and internal equity.
