ph3IT Field Technician II III (Uncleared) /h3pDC, NOVA /ppSCD Information Technology is currently seeking a Full- time IT Field Support Technician II and III. /ph3Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30 am - 5:00 pm /h3h3Reports to: Commercial Services Director /h3pThe IT Field Technician will use his/her vehicle to provide on-site IT consulting and support services. /ph3Client locations: Daily travel sites between DC and Northern Virginia. /h3pMileage will be reimbursed at the current IRS rate. /ph3General Responsibilities: /h3pThe Technician will: /pulliProvide on-site desktop support services for preventative, predictive, and remedial hardware/software maintenance on technology assets following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). /liliPerform hands‑on fixes at several levels, including installing and upgrading hardware software, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications. /liliAssist senior technicians with desktop and network equipment deployments. /liliEnsure proper computer operations so that end users can accomplish organizational tasks. /liliResolve technical issues with the use of diagnostics. /liliProvide hands‑on help at the appropriate level to customers. /liliBe Required to attain CompTIA A+ Certification within 6 months of hire. /li /ulh3Qualifications: /h3pThe ideal candidate must have: /pulli3+ years of working professional IT experience. /liliReliable Transportation. /liliWilling and able to travel to sites in MD, DC, northern VA, and southern PA.



/liliExperience with desktop operating systems including Windows 10 and Mac OS X /liliThe more experienced with Microsoft Office the better /liliHands‑on experience with analyzing network data to determine network usage, disk space availability, or server function, or connectivity issues. /liliExperience identifying the causes of networking, software, and hardware problems, using diagnostic testing software and equipment. /liliExperience installing printers, scanners, and desktop phones. /lilibALL APPLICANTS MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN /b /li /ulh3Nice to have: /h3ullibActive CompTIA A+ or Network+ Certification. /b /li /ulh3Salary Range: $40-$60K /h3pThe SCD Information Technology pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
