Senior Game Designer

In this role you will design and refine gameplay systems for mobile free-to-play titles, shaping features from concept to live operations. You’ll work closely with Producers, Developers, Artists and Analysts to improve player engagement, retention and monetisation. The position blends creative design with data-driven iteration to deliver scalable, live services. You will own features end-to-end and contribute to a collaborative studio culture in Genoa.
- Design and develop gameplay systems, mechanics, features and content to boost engagement, retention and monetisation
- Own features from concept through prototyping, implementation, launch and post-release optimisation
- Design and balance game economies, progression systems and monetisation mechanics
- Use player data and behaviour insights to inform design decisions and improve live features
- Produce clear design documentation and collaborate with Product, Development, Art and Analytics during implementation
- Support live operations with new content, events,
updates and features
- Provide design expertise and constructive feedback to team members
- At least 4 years of professional experience in game design for mobile free-to-play games
- Experience across the full product lifecycle from concept to live operations
- Strong knowledge of mobile F2P design, engagement, retention and monetisation techniques
- Experience designing and balancing game economies and progression systems
- Experience reviewing analytics and using data to inform design decisions
- Ability to own complex design work and translate product goals into actionable gameplay solutions
- Strong creative, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience guiding and mentoring other designers
- Excellent organisational, prioritisation and communication skills
- Collaborative mindset across Product, Design, Development, Art and Analytics
